ECS Industrial Floor Coverings

Our service to industrial properties often entails additional challenges. Things such as time constraints, budgets, and product safety are some of the major concerns facing industrial customers. ECS works with you to resolve these challenges. We never allow time to be an obstacle. We are available to service our customers 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If you are looking to be cost effective an epoxy system is the answer to all of your flooring needs. Our systems are competitively priced but the biggest difference is the durability of the system. You will not find yourself continuously replacing this system. We provide products that are slip resistant such as an orange peel surface. Another advantage to the epoxy system is the chemical resistant system that is available to you. Our products are environmentally safe.

Unisys

Job Description: Several projects have been completed for Unisys. In this case, several damaged aisle ways and other miscellaneous repairs needed to be remedied. In order to provide the best possible surface for coating adhesion, the aisles were blasted. Then all the holes were filled with an epoxy/ sand compound and graded to be level with the rest of the floor. Aisle ways were sanded in preparation for the re-coat while tape and glue residue was removed from other areas. Finally, the epoxy coating was applied in safety yellow.

Delphi

Project: Delphi Orion Cockpit Facility
Project Size: 28,000 SF
Location: Orion Township, MI

Job Description: This project entailed the installation of an epoxy floor system for the assembly line at the new Delphi Cockpit Facility. The first step in this process was to blast the substrate. Once this was completed we moved on to the joint work. The joints throughout the project area were badly spalled with junctions 3" to 5" wide. They were repaired and filled throughout the facility. The joints were then ground to grade, leaving a smooth surface for coating. A prime coat was applied to the substrate to create a bond to the open pore substrate. Next, an intermediate coat was applied to the surface. The final step in this project was the application of the urethane topcoat.

Kip America

Project: KIP America
Project Size: 25,000 SF
Location: Famington Hills, MI

Job Description: This project was a new distribution warehouse for KIP America in Farmington Hills. The substrate was blasted prior to application of the coating system. The floor was then swept, magnetic broomed, and the joints were filled to grade. Once this was completed a prime coat was applied to the surface area. The next step was to apply an intermediate coat to the surface. The floor was finished with a topcoat of urethane.

Uniloy Milacron

Project: Uniloy Milacron
Project Size: 50,000 SF
Location: Tecumseh, MI

Job Description: This project was an old existing warehouse that needed a new, fresh look. The floor had an existing coating, which needed to be stripped. We started by blasting and dust-free diamond grinding the entire surface area. Following the blast we did minor repair work to the floor. We then applied a prime coat of 100% solids epoxy to the substrate to create the bond. We followed with an intermediate coat of 100 % solids epoxy. Finally, we applied a topcoat of urethane for the finishing touches.
